Everything I ever bought at East Coast Music Mall was fantastic except for a cable I bought which was quickly replaced without questions.

I did buy a couple guitars there though that go into the "what the {censored} was I thinking" folder. Those only had myself to blame though

Ed Roman was a public figure and extremely opinionated and had absolutely no problem whatsoever verbally abusing the PISS out of anyone that dares disagree with him, without a single rats ass given to whether that person was actually even still living or not.

This is a public guitar forum where we discuss topics dealing with guitar related subjects, and sometimes the people that are intertwined with those topics, of which Ed was a very public and very polarizing figure.

So if you have a personal problem with this thread, or are so morally above the dozens of other people in this thread that are obviously interested, maybe go find another thread. Everybody dies eventually. What they leave behind is their legacy.

Ours' is not a culture in which all speak of a deceased person, or discussion of their legacy ends when they die.

What you are asking for is ridiculous and not based in reality.

We should also never speak of controversial public figures from all other areas of public life including musicians, actors, politicians, etc, etc.

In my book, and apparently a gaggle of others in this forum all agree, discussion, all of it, good and bad of Ed Roman is fair game.

And lastly, for the record, THERE IS NO CRYING IN ROCK AND ROLL!

I called him one time to inquire about ordering a custom Heritage guitar. He asked me what kind of top I was interested in. I said, "just a flame top".

He completely flipped out. Saying, "JUST A FLAME TOP....do you realize WHAT A FLAME TOP REALLY IS?!?!?!?"

I then told him, "Well, opposed to the QUILTED maple tops that you advertise and tout....and those are usually MORE EXPENSIVE.....I would like JUST A FLAMED MAPLE TOP!"

Ed told me I wasn't serious about ordering a custom guitar and so on.

Sigh.....I miss the man.

I dunno. I hated him because he was an asshole. And assholes don't make me feel bad because I don't give assholes any respect. He was dishonest though and seemingly built his business on that fact.
