Bull{censored} - as the state's Attourney General, Spitzer sent quite a few people to jail for the very same thing... Do you honestly believe that he deserves different treatment and accountability than what he's given to others???

- georgestrings

On top of that, he took an oath to uphold the laws of the state. He took it once when he was admitted to the bar, once when he became an AG, and once when he was sworn in as Governor...

Yup - I personally don't agree with prostitution laws, but I also haven't sent others to jail for breaking them, like this scumbag did... I also don't believe that a married person with kids has any business being involved in ANY way, shape, or form in this sort of thing...

If he was simply banging a hooker I'd tend to agree, but this dude is running game. I admire him for using his position to wipe out his competition, that's wholly American, but he could have picked a more wholesome enterprise to exploit his power on, you know?
:D

Actually he did. He was going all out for some Wall Street companies.

Problem is, he was part of setting up some shell corporations so he could funnel his 'play' money for payment of hos. And he was doing this from NY to DC. The very same things he was busting other people and companies. Is that not a federal crime?

The high priced ho thing is the least of his problems.

They also reported he liked dangerous sex. Wonder what that means? No rubbers or asphixia, what else is there?

He, of all people, should have known better how to get away with it. He's just that arrogant and sanctimonious.

F*ing slimy lawyers.

I need a shower.

Nonsense! Don't you guys realize what's going on? Governor Spitzer is a liberal Democrat whose plans for giving driver's licenses to illegal immigrants has drawn ire from conservatives. This whole thing is just part of a vast right wing conspiracy that's been in place ever since he took office.

This is what I was previously posting about. Instead of the crime being committed, the sex is what will garner the most interest. He liked dangerous sex? Did he like the angry pirate or cleveland steamer? What does that have to do with the actual laws that he broke? Of course, now folks will really want to know the steamy details and see lots of pics of what a $5,500 per hooker actually looks like. How soon Can the Hef get some shots of these gals in Playboy? Forget about busting other rings except the one he was using. Forget that buying the hooker was illegal. People will want to know more about the sex acts themselves.

I was just regurgitating some {censored} I heard this morning on Fox and MSNBC.

I know it has nothing to do with the laws being broken in this case. However, he has a lot of enemies who will do their best to get the most seedy details of the sex for the all too willing media and the needy public. They will love to rub his unctuous fat nose in it.

Me? I prefer not to know about that scummy dudes sexual proclivities. Five grand a pop or not. I was also reflecting on what is dangerous sex.

I hope you didn't think I was calling you out. That wasn't my intention. I was merely wanting to point out that the news media, instead of focusing on the crimes and why these alleged crimes are really bad, they will move on to the big sell, which will be the steamy stuff. We'll find out very quickly what "dangerous" sex is in this case.

No, not at all. Don't believe what the others say about me. I really am a nice guy but like everyone else, don't like to be treated in a condescending or malicious way and for no reason.

I agree with you, the sex will be the story. Unfortunately, that's what sells and makes the ratings. True?

Yes, this is all the right-wing conspiracy designed to make the Democrats look bad in an election year!

Are you two serious? You're killin' me.:D

- Spitzer is the Gov and former AG, known as an "Elliott Ness" type on Wall Street.

- At best, he's accussed of being with a prostitute.

- At worst, he's accussed of paying for and arranging for a prostitute to travel accross state lines (a federal crime) to stay with him in DC.

Regardless of how you feel about prostitution or political motivations, his severe lack of judgement means he's not qualified to be Gov.

Republicans may be great at spin, but they're not this good!:D

What I think is hilarious is how, when Republicans get caught doing stuff like this, there's an all out assault in the media and by Congress.
All I keep hearing on the news channels about Spitzer is how this is such a tragedy for his family. Nobody shouting "hypocrite!", nobody calling for extensive investigations into other politicians and how they might be involved, no absurd character assassinations, just how it's such a shame and we should try to move forward.

Ummm.... I don't know what media you're watching, but here in NY state, those things have certainly been happening.

And I don't disagree with all of them, entirely, either. I think he's proven himself a hypocrite and must resign.

I am curious who "Clients" 1-8 might be, however.

"Who is Number 1?" "You are Number 6."
