Members james on bass
I've been wanting one of these forever!!! 1986 Ibanez RB999 "Bean" Bass. Hawkeye was getting rid of a bass he never played, and I finally had some gear cash available when one of my all time GAS basses showed up on the market. Looks certainly don't appeal to everyone, but I like her. Very small and light. Almost like playing a headless bass again.

Members Renfield
Why is it called a Bean anyway? Nice looking, that era from Ibby is the shiz. I have 3 basses from then and wouldn't hesitate to grab another.

Members james on bass
The way they're elongated always seems so trippy to me... I dig the headstock though. How's it play? It's like an Ibanez Musician that got thrown in the dryer by mistake. It plays well. Needs new strings and a very minor set-up. Might need a new jack, but I'll dig into her on the weekend to know for sure. She's seeing some action this Saturday night!

This totally brings me back. I almost scooped another mid-80s Ibanez this week as well, but it look pretty beat-up.Not to mention the beating I'd get from Mrs.JoB. Members james on bass
Man that looks clean. It is. I've seen more dings on a 2 year old bass, let alone a 22 year old bass.
