Members L-1329
bpocall's pink Jazz. Yes. Still the only bass I've picked up that feels heavier than the Gibson Victory. That includes T-40's too...

Members HackedByChinese!
What weight is the pink jazz? I'd estimate 13-14 lbs. It's a hard ash body with a rock maple neck, IIRC.
Members db.
I caught a 35 lb sea bass a few years ago. Good eatin'.

Members Kingmaker
My Mike Dirnt P-bass has to be a good 11-12lbs. {censored}ing hell, why do they have to make it so heavy! A friend's ol'skool Peavey was like 13-14lbs. I imagine Chris Squire's tripple-neck bass is heavy.

Members fealach
I can't find a pic. I remember seeing a Schack bass on Ebay, made I think for Musikmesse, that was IIRC 12' or longer scale. That might be pretty heavy.

Members Death Hands
I've never understood why people complained about weight. My old jazz was around the order of 15lbs. Don't get it. Unless you have back problems(I do) or a bad shoulder or something. The heaviest bass I ever picked up was one of my teacher's. It was lucite and trimmed with sheet metal. It also sounded like doodie. It had to be near 20lb or more. The lower part was like an exaggerated dip, like a curved explorer point, almost. Members JC Bass
Heaviest bass I've ever picked up was a T40. There's a reason my T40 is the only bass in my arsenal that doesn't have straplocks.

Members s4001
My homemade jazz is 15 lbs. An absolute tone monster, but I wouldn't do a three hour gig with it.
