Members FretFiend.
I must be living under a rock cause I've never heard of them. A few searches turned up a lot of enthusiastic claims about reduced tension loads on your guitar. Sounds more like sales hype tho. Anybody using them? Are they worth the premium price? Inquiring minds want to know.
Members DeepEnd
I've heard of balanced tension strings, primarily for electric, but I'm not familiar with the brand. At first blush it seems like a nice idea but that's about all.
Members garthman
I've not heard of them. I've had a quick look and their range is very similar to other makers.

Members Gibson29
And you have Santa Cruz Parabolic Tension Strings, expensive little wires (didn’t sound good on my old 00-17) developed I believe by Roger Siminoff. Speaking of, he’s got Straight Up Strings, same concept, half the cost of those Santa Cruz, and they do sound good on my old 00-17, plus J-45, and 000-28. It’s possible I’m just allergic to expensive though. https://straightupstrings.com so there’s that! But I’m not an artist, thus not an artist endorsement…and Scott wants to welcome you to the Stringjoy Family, Roger doesn’t even mention family in his “about” page, the heathen. But he’s 5$ cheaper, so let’s go worship trees.
