Members Eric V
Hello everyone, I went to a repair shop for my girlfriend's bass Cort Curbow 5 strings and the tech broke a tip of a tuning peg. The string remains in place but it doesn't look good for long term. Searched the net for replacement part but can't find anything. Do you guys know a place where I can order? I'm from Quebec Canada. Help me make my gf happy again ;-)
Phil O'Keefe
Have you tried contacting Cort to see if they offer replacement parts? Here's the contact information for Canada: Coast MusicDistributor 21000 Trans Canada Highway Baie D’Urfé, QC Tel. 514-457-2555 Fax. 514-457-4681 http://www.coastmusic.com
Members DeepEnd
What exactly broke? They look like fairly standard tuners to me: You might not be able to find an exact match but you should be able to find something close. My bass has similar tuners and I found replacements on eBay. In any event, it seems to me it's on the shop that broke it to fix it.

I occasionally work on guitars and basses for friends and even though I don't charge for my work, if I damaged someone elses's instrument I'd fix it because it would be my fault.
