Turner Broadcasting said the devices had been in place for two to three weeks in Boston; New York; Los Angeles, California; Chicago, Illinois; Atlanta, Georgia; Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregon; Austin, Texas; San Francisco, California; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He said he was a Libertarian.

which means that he should believe that there should be no bomb squad... some rugged individualist should just go up to the lite brite, and say "DUDE!!! It's a {censored}ing light brite!" and then throw it in the river where all the rest of the cities trash gets dumped, beacause it's the most economical way to get rid of trash.

Look man - I consider myself a libertarian - goverment out of my wallet and my bedroom and all that.

But in this time of heightened awareness to terrorism ( in the city that the hijackers on 911 flew out of )....you cant be placing mysterious electronic devices on bridge abuttments, I'm sorry. It's plain irresponsible.

Pwned.

I bumped his quote for good measure. :thu:

I have no problem with Andre overall, but his politics make me laugh.

by the way - i just heard from a friend of mine in Boston, who worked in the areas they were investigating in, and he says this, confirming my original suspicions that the media and the officeholders are USING THIS FOR THEIR OWN POLITICAL AND FINANCIAL GAIN. this disgusts me.

he said, "BTW, i saw this made national news and i had a big 'WTF moment' when i got home and turned on the tv. the swat teams and bomb squads did NOT shut parts of the city down - i saw a couple of crews that had some areas blocked off, but traffic wasn't really ass to face like the media portrayed it to be. i think it took me around 20 minutes longer to get home that night. then, of course, as the story unfolded, it just got more bizarre. i'll tell you again, this was NOT a big deal or a city wide panic or whatever. the funny thing is, everyone else outside the areas thinks so."

hmmmm...what's that sound like to you guys?
