The triangle, Ram's Head, and IC Muffs that I've owned are most definitely fuzzes, but the green Russians I've owned were more on the distortion side of things. I've owned alot of fuzzes - devi ever stuff, fuzz factory, etc. The NYC Big Muff is a fuzz. It's not harsh like a Shin Ei or Foxx Tone Machine, but it gets "fuzzier" than alot of Fuzz Face or Tonebender clones.
