Fender Performer 1000, 100W 112 Valve State AmpUSA Made, Late 80s or Early 90s This came somewhere after the red knobbed SSs and before the Roc Pros.Got to be the loudest solid state I've ever played; I've gigged with this thing somewhere between 2 and 3 and had no trouble hearing myself. If anything I heard far too much!Two channels. Second channel has two gains and has a real 12AX7 valve in it. Channels, gain stages and Acutronics Spring Reverb are footswitchable. Original Fender three way Footswitch included.Has an effects loop, though I've never used it and external cabinet out. Heavy, so would prefer London or halfway pickup. The trapeze tailpiece and bridge were purchase from GFS. (The knobs were also purchased during this transaction, but that's a purely aesthetic alteration) The original pickups (one of which was completely DOA when I recieved it) were replaced with Chris Klein Low Winds (http://www.kleinpickups.com/c-21-humbucker-pickups.aspx) and they sound fantastic. The body was, of course, properly shielded when these were installed, so it's completely silent. It's currently setup for .010 gauge flatwound strings and intonates excellently. I'm still smitten with this guitar, but I'm looking for something a bit different for playing out in a friend's scuzzy garage band.
