Members zinzin
who has one? is it noisy? sturdy enough for live gigging? how is it compared to a memory man with hazarai?
Members Hiwatt Bob
i had one years ago. it had a pretty decent tone, very good actually. but other than that, it really left alot to be desired. when you'd adjust the delay time, it was chopp-y and wouldn't pitch bend--it was glitchy sounding, not tape like. the s.o.s was kind of useless iirc. the hazarai has 10X as many functions. i used to have one--sold it mainly because of the volume drop issue. Members moqi
I know some cool guys who use/used a Reel Echo:Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys)Mike Einziger (Incubus)Russell Marsden (Band of Skulls) Should be alright for gigging...
Members shaun126
They sound great, much better than a hazarai IMO. But it is a total 1 trick pony, and SOS is useless.
Members gambit
yeah, i didn't keep it for long.. didn't click with me. but neither did the SMMH. it doesn't enough things for its size. can't go from a regular delay setting to SOS without tweaking all the knobs to the full digital / cranked repeats sound. bit lame really. Einziger pretty much only uses it for the delay time glitchiness described above. Sounds awesome though.
Members Fender&EHX4ever
whats everyone got against the SMMH?? im thinking of picking one up... volume drop? No volume drop on mine either. All the usual complaints are pretty weak. I believe the SMMH, like so many great pedals, is now pass

Members Fender&EHX4ever
I DO get the volume drop. I suppose that issue is rig-dependent, and that most would argue that a great pedal should not be rig-dependent (which is arguable). It might be related to how hot the signal is going into the SMMH, but I haven't tested that theory.
