Members Fender&EHX4ever
I saw 'em in '92 in Chicago at The Metro. Medicine opened for them. Great show, as I remember. GALA is a great album/compilation that had a lot of promise. SPOOKY was kind of a letdown, though "Monochrome" is probably their best song. Members TomCTC
I thought this thread would be about Lush soap, hair and face stuff. My g/f uses that stuff, and it smells INCREDIBLE.

Members Monkeybot
Gala was their shining moment (even if it was a collection) - "Sweetness and Light" should be as iconic as MBV's "Soon". That whole record is pretty much perfect - Take the Cocteau Twins' shimmer and mystery and play it like a band - Fantastic record. They had some good stuff after that, but then they drifted into a less reverb-y Brit-rock thing that kind of sounded stale. Good stuff, but a lot of bands caught up with them. Saw them in '92 - fantastic band live, too. Shoegaz-y (in that they didn't do much on stage) but they sounded great. Miss that band - Chris Acland -RIP. Members Ultradust
Love love love. Bought Gala the minute I could find it, but Superblast! from Spooky is still my favorite Lush tune...Half of it for the fact that Phil would invert things and play out-of-left-field bass lines. Members renula
Lush rocked. Gala is definitely a great collection of songs. For you mesa boys, that were the amps the girls used, I read in an interview once. And of course, Boss and Roland effects.
