Catalinbread Semaphore

Black Arts Toneworks Black Forest

Zvex Octane III

Black Arts Toneworks Pharaoh

EHX Small Stone USA

Boss DD-7

Boss DD-5

Moog Analog Delay

a really nice and simple reverb pedal... right now i'm using a Boss FRV-1 and i'm really happy with it, but there's always room for improvement.

Moog Ring Modulator

i think i'd be really happy with all of those.

I'd probably be close to what I already have. Which is nice to know.

+1 same!

I'd go with:

1. M9

2. Big Box Rat

3. EHX HOG

4. JamMan Solo

5. BFJE Honey Bee

6. DOD FX-17

7. Digitech WH-1

8. D*A*M* Ram's Head

9. El Cap

10. EHX Freeze

And for 11 and 12, I'd have my Mission SP-1L6 and a T1M eventide switch for the JamMan on the floor. Though in reality, this is really far too many pedals for myself.

Musicom Lab EFX MKIII

*Digitech Whammy

*Schumann PLL

*Klon

*Xotic EP Booster

Goodrich Low-profile Volume Pedal

Use the Musicom to control the Whammy and the Space, have everything split into stereo at the TTE.

I could *maybe* get away with these, hehe.

It's not too far from my set-up now, except for a few expensive swaps, like the TTE and Klon, just because I can. :D

Boss is really dumb for not reissuing the vb-2. Between this post and the discontinued pedal you miss the most post there seems to be a lot of demand.
Or is there some component that can no longer be sourced?

Yes. Common sense.

In my studio I use effects like ingredients of a recipe, and I don't want to make music like Taco Bell makes food... using the same 12 ingredients in every menu item. I just pull the effects I want for any given project.

But if I had to assemble a gig board tonight?

BOSS TU2

Carl Martin Octa Switch

EHX Hot Tubes

EHX Black Finger

EHX HOG

Digitech Space Station

EHX XO Worm

EHX PolyChorus

EHX Deluxe Memory Man with Tap Tempo

EHX Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai

EHX Cathedral

BOSS PN2

But those are just arbitrary choices. I might feel different in about 5 minutes. I just don't play these threads well :(

As npfrs said, there is a component supply issue. But you can get a BYOC kit (with the real-deal parts). Boss probably can't get the part in sufficient volumes, but smaller builders may be able to. (That said, I would guess that BOSS might be more interested in a digital emulation; probably easier for their engineering team...)

I would love to see Boss come out with a VB-3 that is digital. Of course, there are many other good options for vibrato besides the VB-2 like the BYOC you mention, the M9, Behringer UV-300, Malekko, etc..

I'm a VB-2 fanboy though.
