Members Sunsetcarcrash
Im looking for a low gain drive pedal, but typical screamers are not my cup of tea... Ive never really found it... Im playing either a Gibson SG or a Thinline Tele through a Blackface Fender Bassman head... Looking for tones from Wilco - A Ghost is Born, Neil Young On Cortez the Killer, but even into Deerhunter territory on Nothing Ever Happened... Im looking for Jangly with Balls... Ive considered a DBA Interstellar Overdriver and a Devi Ever Karaoke Party... Info on these and any suggestions are appreciated!
Members Poltergeist
the Boss BD-2's are great for that.
Members six acre lake
Let me be the first to say it... Black Arts Toneworks Black Forest or a smallsound/Bigsound {censored} overdrive.
Members onyxrhino
have you considered a Hot Cake or a BD-2? Those do more "jangly with balls" type stuff than the Interstellar OD (I've never tried the Karaoke Party).

Members Matt Gnarly
I used to use a Catalinbread Formula 5 into my Traynor for Neil Young and other tweed tones and it works great (I have a Tungsten that I just crank up now).
Members SweetOblivion
I came in to suggest either the Black Forest or Formula #5, both great pedals. Since those have been mentioned I'll throw in that my Monsterpiece MKII with the bias rolled back does what you're describing as well
Members Poltergeist
good call. Fuzz Face with the volume rolled down should work perfect.

Members The Lou-Dog
I use a Skreddy Screwdriver Deluxe for these sounds you speak of...... Either with a Japanese Strat, a Les Paul Jr. or a 335 through a DRRI.
Members DannyDedalo
You said that the screamers are not what you are looking for, but im using the sparkle drive and sound good for low gain, with the blend pot you can add the grit without kill the jangle clean tones (if it have any sense)

Members LSDis4me
Any of the Tech 21 Character series has a lot of sensitivity to the amount of overdrive/gain you can dial in. Also, several of the Barber pedals do a great job.

I thought it was the Kalamazoo that was supposed to do that. I've always gotten those two pedals mixed up. Both are equally great.
