Members danbronson
VR-000092 Also, how do their other serial numbers work? My friend's dual recto solo head says R-030110. Does R refer to the year it was built and the following number is which one it was from that year, in this case the 30,110th? Does VR mean 2006? The serial numbers just run in sequence and don't refer to any year. The "R" just means Rectifier or Recto I'm guessing. Your friend's amp was the 30,110th Recto ever made. My Dual Rectifier is R-00246. It just signifies that it was the 246th Recto made. Mesa used to date the inside of the chassis. That is how some people know when their Rectos were made. Other than that, you have to call Mesa with the serial number. Dale

Trying to find a value on it. Thanks in advance My wife will often ask me how much an amp or piece of gear is worth. She probably just waiting for me to keel over, so she can rid the house of music gear. So what I tell her about the worth of ever piece of gear and it's worth. I say it's worth nothing if you don't play. Now, Mesa has amazing records and they are a small company. Call em or email them. DC amps were made between 1993 and 1999. Some graphic eq's and some don't. 700-800 buckeroos, depending on condition and how fast you want to move it. I bet 300 bucks sells it fast. Thanks in advance the simple solution is look it up at Reverb.com, which is what mikeo likely did. a DC-5 should sell around $800, in good condition, up to a grand in showroom shape with new tubes.
