Members Duesentrieb
. . . Peter Diezel gave his old Herbert Proto chassis to me. And (not for an oven of course) a set of VH4 trannies to build me an amp. Its still crude, frontplate missing . . . It has four channels, clean, crunch (with three voicing options), mega and insane gain. A loop, a depth, . . . Here's Alex Flouros thru it (new per june 2009): Whover wants to have a look how I've built this thing from scratch: http://www.thinlizzy.de/html/duesendiezel.html (needs update though, schems are incorrect after so many tweaks today) Thanks a lot to Peter Diezel for the parts and his constant support/help. Members igge
I like the spanish vibe of the clean section. Mmm, some nice Marshally crunch going on. The Palmer is a nifty tool to have. Internals look good so far.
Members Ancient Mariner
I have a suspicion that a lot of the tone is in your fingers, but that does sound good, Olaf.
Members OverDriven
I usually love your clips, but I'm not too crazy about the way this amp sounds.
Members Duesentrieb
Thanks guys. I'm more and more unsatisfied with the emulators. It sounds awesome thru a cab. I'll come up with some "real" clips soon.
Members TomCTC
I actually liked how it sounded out of that Palmer unit. Amp sounds great! Diezel will always be one of my favourite guitar amp manufacturers.

Members jaeger28
That must probably be the most complex DIY head ever built. Can we get some gut pics please? I would love to see a hand wired Herbert from the inside...

I would love to see a hand wired Herbert from the inside... Thanks. But there are way more complex DIY amps out there, none of them I'm thinking of made in PTP, but PCB. This is PTP though. You can find a link to all pics in my first post.

Members Duesentrieb
Yeah, he could play thru a Pignose and make it sound good, thats true. AFAIK he only uses 2 of the 4 channels. Lead and "more lead"
