Can anyone give me a rundown on the different JCM800s?

I'm trying to learn more about this series of amp, both out of personal interest for myself and buying interest for a buddy.

I know off the top of my head that 2203 is 100W, 2204 is 50W... what are other differences, model numbers, features, etc.

Thanks.

Also they still made these during the JCM800 era ...

1959: 100w superlead
1987: 50w lead
1992: 100w superbass
1986: 50w bass

All the above have 4 inputs.
2203/2204 have two inputs.
2210/2205 have 1 input.

Easy to to distinguish from the front panel.

Perhaps I'm just this much more newb than I thought, but I've never heard of the JCM800 Bass or Superbass. Tone difference? Actually for bass, or is it like a bassman and is guitar friendly as well?

Bass and superbass are just like the previous non-MV models, except with JCM800 cosmetics. They didn't quit making them, they just added the newer models. Yes, very guitar friendly.

I believe that Ceriatone uses a turret or eyelt board for those amps. They are hand wired but not point to point. Point to point means there is no board.

Thanks, Max. I am a tech-n00b.

$650 for a loaded vertical-input 2204 replica, by the way:
