hpim1810.jpg

Does is say anything on top?

hpim18131.jpg

On the face? Ah, CARVIN!! Too big to be a guitar!

hpim18141.jpg

Oh, yeah! I know what it is.

hpim18151.jpg

Lets open this bad boy up! Very nicely packed.

hpim18171.jpg

OOH! Little sneak peak!

hpim18181.jpg

This thing has more protection than a 70's swinger party!

hpim18191.jpg

SWEET 4x12!

hpim18221.jpg

Now for the "inspection" .

Living in Stereo. Switch is recessed and covered by a removable rubber gromet

to prevent accidental flick of the switch.

hpim18261.jpg

Don't be gettin" all up in my grill!

hpim18271.jpg

Front baffle is carpeted.

hpim18281.jpg

V30s! m/

hpim18291.jpg

Solid "All Ply" construction.

hpim18301.jpg

Lets get a little deeper in, baby!

hpim18311.jpg

Wire! Wire we here?

hpim18321.jpg

Center braced between the baffle and back. Yeah!

hpim18331.jpg

Thick plywood edging to screw grill into. Accented with grey pipe trim.

hpim18351.jpg

Carvin shipped it:

"Not" UPS.

"Not" Fed Ex.

"Not" USPS.

"Not" DHL.

Pilot Air Freight. :D

I'm very impressed with the construction. IMHO top notch.

I'm going to work on breaking it in the next few days.

Once I got the speakers broken in, then I'll do a a follow up on how it sounds with the rigs.

define man handle in a musical sense.

More low end, cleaner overall sound at stage volume, smoother upper end, more spread to the sound on stage, etc.

The carvins are better than the mid range marshalls, all the peavey cabs, etc... most other cabs guitar center would have but IMO a used splawn cab for the same price is a much better purchase or even a well built 212. I don't even take my 412 to shows any more. That port city cab is THAT loud and that clear on stage. cut through and was more powerful in the mix with my renegade than the other guy's TSL and V30 marshall 4X12.

DO not be fooled by the V30s. These cabs sound like balls. Sorry man, I had one for a long time and they really do not hold a candle to any "real" cab manufacturer
:o

I don't agree with this.

I love my MTS 4x12. First 4x12 I ever bought (along with the MTS head) and I still have it. :thu:

Me too. My good buds in Vains Of Jenna used those cabs and V3 heads when we were out with them and they sounded great. I had to borrow one of theirs one night because our {censored} was late in shipment and I didnt mind it at all

Quite a Carvin selection you have there. Just wondering, do you have anything from another company
:freak:

Why YES!! :thu:

Gibson, Parker, Fernandes, Diodati, Edwards, Schecter, Rocktron, Peavey,

BBE, Line 6, Agile, Jet City, Sonic, Etc..

I'll do a group pic of my NON-Carvin gear this weekend. ;)
