Sadly, perhaps it will take that draconian a measure to make some of these little {censored}s re-think their entitlement to act that way in public. Either that or just start up a gang of anti-thugs who hang out in the crowd until one of them does something like this, then dogpile his ass and beat him to a {censored}ing pulp. My lip is purple right now and you can tell it was hit pretty hard Im thinking about just saying I was playing football and took a shot they'll understand that better than i was at a concert when some guy went to deck my friends gf...plus Im not the kind of guy that needs to stroke my ego I'm on phone I gotta get goin so ill ttygl That really sucks I know my co-workers would`ve had sympathy for me. I'm a hardcore kid, I mosh harder than just about anyone I've ever known, I spin kick, I flail, I punch, I jump on people, I head walk, crowd surf and am generally violent....but I watch where i'm going and only crash into people my size or people I know. I don't understand why this is so difficult. After our set two sundays ago, I was dancing, this lkid runs across and OngBak's this little dude beside me right in the face. Kid gets up laughing, so I SPARTAAAAA kicked him across the floor into the merch tables. {censored}ing hit a guy for no reason other than "it's a pit" who is half your size, I just can't stand for that. And neither did he in the end {censored} violence for the sake of violence. Dancing/moshing/thronging hard does not preclude you from good sense and respect for your fellow show goer. A failure to do so is merely an indication of the persons internal stupidity. I feel for you dude. Stoked you got the little chick out of the way, but sure as {censored}, don't let it happen again. But honestly things have changed badly and fast, now everything is about violence and aggression quite the opposite from the have fun take care of everyone sorta concept. Honestly one kid got roundhoused and went down in the pit last night and he wound up getting up and getting hit by a fist and went back down, no one cares and someones gonna die one day unfortunately, its very embarassing but thats the scum of society. And yeah I'm glad the girl didnt get hit she's prob 90lbs if that and she'd of taken more damage than me, I have a pretty hard jaw and this wasn't the first time I've gotten hit unfortunately its just always been by accident never run at me look at me and punch me square in the face. Opening band comes on and tells people in the pit, if people are standing on the side of the pit to punch them in the face they deserve it. The way the room is laid out, you HAVE to stand around the pit. Several noses broken, and busted faces later, there about 10 assholes that keep doing this. My buddy gets his nose broken, about 6 people deep at the very front during Acacia Strain. Adam from Oceano (before they were big), di it. I am a pretty big guy, but Adam is a huge black dude who could destroy me, I am certain. I grabbed him pulled him down and told him to stop. He got up, apologized and he was cool after that. Final straw some 140 lb. douchebag with a Hoods basketball jersey, runs and blasts this girl who could not have been more 14-15 year old with braces, right in the mouth. Blood everywhere. I {censored}ing lost it. He ran back towards the front, and ran at him as hard as I could. I hit him so hard in the back, his feet flew up and he face planted on the concrete floor. He immediately went into convulsions and the floor had a huge blood splatter. I freaked and and thought I killed the {censored}ing guy. Scared the {censored} out of me. Saw the guy later, and his face was pale white and blood encrusted around his nostrils. I am not saying this was the right thing to do, but that was a {censored}ed up show. I no longer go to Metalcore/Hardcore shows in Chicago. Never have this problem in Straight up Death Metal shows. People start hardcore dancing, they get knocked the {censored} down. In the Burbs, Rockford, Quad City, Iowa shows, there are not so many problems, and people are brought into check quickly. I love the pit, love metal, love shows, and love playing. Shows should be fun, pits should be brutal, but respectful. Sorry for the long post, but needed to say that {censored}. That's seriously {censored}ed up {censored}. If I saw that while playing a show, I'd {censored}ing stop in the middle of a song [i don't even care if it's our biggest single or wtfever in this hypothetical situation], and I'd tell Cap't Douchebag to quit his {censored}ing {censored} or I'd have everyone beat his {censored}ing ass and then have the security guards escort his time-ruining ass. WHO THE {censored} HITS A GIRL ANYWAYS?! Seriously, wtf is wrong with some people? Go {censored}ing punch yourself in the face if you think it's so mother{censored}ing fun! We have played many shows together, but he was kind of brutal that night. He a state champion Greco roman wrestler too. I am glad he reacted positively...that could have ended badly.
