Members Sheik_Yerbouti
Sounds nervous or maybe he is just a yodeller??? He has range and a powerful voice but that vibrato is awful. This. It sounds like his Vibrobutt 2000 butt plug is stuck on HI.

Members gdwill2u
I don't know if I like this idea. I am a big Adam Lambert fan and I think with the right agent and a good producer AL will be A STAR FOR A LOG, LONG TIME. I will wait and see. Members gdwill2u
Goddammit. Adam {censored}ing LAMBERT? Why not Marc Martel? Was the gay comparison more important than the {censored}ing VOICE? Maybe they want a real personality instead of a good cover singer, who really is a better fit in this arena than Adam Lambert, his overall persona while not in any way being a Freddie clone is in his own way very freddie Mercury like. Members gdwill2u
This is where this thread should end. I'm pretty sure a musician of May's caliber is perfectly capable of assessing whether a singer will or will not work for his band.Obviously the guy was auditioned and May liked what he heard. ^this
Members cscbo1
I see no problem with it I wanted him to win AI the year he was in it, I felt he would sell more than Kris Allen that won that year. I'm not a fan of his music, nor his sexual preference, but the dude/ette can sing!
Members peavey_impact
Lambert is an amazing singer and honestly seems like a shoe-in for Queen, IMO
Members guitarbilly74
I can't believe some people here are really blaming May and Taylor for NOT wanting to work with Martel. I mean, forget about music for a second. Say you were friends and worked closely with a guy for 20 + years and he died. Would YOU want to replace that guy with someone that acts and sounds just like him?? That's creepy as {censored}, sorry.
Members PaoloJM
Just nobody can convince me that he can pull off Freddie better than Martel can. What the hell kind of competition was this?
Members Y0UNGBL00D
after the initialoverwhelming urge to murder/gape/a2m/selfpwn, i scrolled quickly to see if a big blue eye showed up to drop some insight. sure enough....I can't say it feels like a great fit to me. No one can really fill Freddie's shoes, but Lambert just seems like a cheap disposable pop wannabe. Freddie was a legend. It would be like replacing James Hetfield with the kid from Linkin Park.this. although the self pwn is quite strong with metallica.

Members NaturalBornBoy
Adam Lambert is a great singer. No doubts about that. Will he be a good fit in Queen? I think yes. No one can replace Freddie. No one. Adam is doing his own thing and maybe the Queen guys like what he brings to the band dynamics He will also undoubtedly help introduce a much younger generation of people to Queen and hopefully make them die-hard fans one day. Members Ovid9
Agreed. I'd say there were IMO better options, but the dude will probably do just fine overall.
Members "sasquatch"
In Adams's defense, he is a very flamboyant and outgoing performer. They probably looked at that as well as his syncing.

Members chrispsullivan
George Michael is the obvious best fit, but I have no idea if he has ever been interested in working with Queen.
