Members Chrisjd
Bought myself another macbook pro. I did this clip in 15 minutes using garageband and my FJA modded 6505. As for levels, how do you think the guitar sits against the drums? http://soundcloud.com/chrisdahlen/my-song
Members almightycrunch
I like it, im kinda torn though on levels. Sometimes I think the guitars might be a bit too loud, but then again, I'd almost wanna say I 'd like to hear it with vocals on it, it just may be perfect right there. Members Samnite
Add bass. Then I'll be able to tell better.

Chords kinda have that loose, squishy Recto vibe.
Members Warhorse
Tone wise the guitars sounded good, but they were mixed to far back and they were wet sounding.

Members Nick H
I dont know what those other guys are complaining about I like the tone and hear absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Members Neilrocks25
I liked that, with another guitar and bass that will sound great.
Members Snave
Good tone, but I'd turn the guitar up/drums down in the mix a bit and maybe lay off the snare reverb.
Members tlbonehead
Agreed, and I kinda like it in the recording. When you say "wet", what do you mean by that?usually means effects laden, which I certainly didn't hear.

Members Markdude
I can't listen to it at work, but "wet" also commonly means saturated/gainy. Since someone said the guitars had a squishy Recto vibe, I bet that's it.
Members Markdude
Listened now. Sounds good, but I think the guitars could come up a little bit and it wouldn't hurt to have them a tiny bit brighter. Absolutely great tone though! Love the thickness of the mids and the bit of grind.

Since someone said the guitars had a squishy Recto vibe, I bet that's it. I thought "wet" refers to effects such as reverb, delay, chorus...that kind of thing. Anyway, I think it sounds good. Something on it sounds almost like a dog barking in the distance. It's very faint. What is that?

Members colejustesen
I would have to agree that the guitars seemed a bit low and that snare was very apparent... Other than the levels, that tone is sick! I totally dig that tone!!! Cole

Members bykeryder1
Ha! That intro drum loop sounds really familiar, even though I took it in a totally different direction: http://soundcloud.com/jim-parker-2/poorinafrica The guitar is my LP Special into the Garage Band amp sims; the bass is my guitar pitch shifted an octave. The vocals were recorded with the built-in mic on my MacBook. Your clip sounds great, by the way. I love the kind of spongy vibe I hear.
