Members guitarbilly74
as in no effects at all? Not even boost, wah, gate, nothing... well except for a tuner, of course. I want to try that on my next practice Should be fun. Also, what music style do you play?
Members guitarbilly74
How the {censored} did that happen? I started the thread and your post is on top of mine? Or is this just on my computer?? {censored}ing HC forums Every day is a new failure.
Members guitarbilly74
I run straight into my JVM 99% of the time. Sometimes I use a Wah and Trem, but only when I jam with my Dad's blues band. The less stuff for me to remember to grab when I leave the venue the better, b/c I have been known to get a buzz and leave {censored}. That's what I am getting at
Members knucklefux
that's the way i played for YEARS. if i start playing again at some point, that's how i'll do it.

Members Kardula
Yeah, more than 90% of the time it's straight from guitar to amp. I'll use the amp's reverb if I feel like doing some clean stuff, but mostly straight to amp. It's generally too much work to break out the pedals and put them back after each session so I usually leave them put up unless I know I have some time to jam
Members Yarbicus
Man, I don't even play bass straight from instrument to amp! I just loves me my toys.
Members Rock Hardness
In before "Who plays gay through the amp" parody and my post goes to the top.... WTF? Is the forum on scramble mode today?
Members Nick H
I do it about half the time, but I wouldnt, if I had more money. Still sounds fine tho. I only occasionally use a wah or boost, and use a compression sustainer for cleans.
Members iff
I love playing with pedals, but I can easily play without them (and often do so). Also, the post orders in this thread are SO {censored}ed up.
Members ShaneV2
I'd say I play straight in 30% of the time, with a small pedalboard 30% of the time, with my rack stuff 30% of the time, and with a boost pedal into the amp but nothing else 10% of the time. I'm indecisive.

Members Y0UNGBL00D
not i, though i know how to generally replicate my riffage in the case of emergency, as occurred at my first show when my old ghetto pedalboard crapped out somehow. funny thing is, of all the songs i used pedals for, the ones we selected for that short showcase were effectless. Members sleewell
I was for like the last 6 months but I just got a gsp1101 so I no longer qualify. I think playing w no pedals made me a better player. There isn't anything you can step on so you just have to play. Helped me focus. We play stoner blues garage rock type of stuff.
