Members rushtallica
It's not just like an SG and is a bolt-on, but the Westone Dynasty has very good upper fret access. I used to have one just like this but repainted it and put an Ibanez neck (and if I remember right, a Floyd) on it.

Members soundgardener75
Prolly just about any Neck through Super Strat Or maybe a "Washburn N 4" FIXED and I second this!
Members Rock Hardness
How bout one of these Washburn "36 fret" Monsters? That is the EC 29. The EC 36 only has one pickup.
Members ShaneV2
Best upper fret access I've experienced is on the old Ovation electrics.

Members Rock Hardness
Yur right Damn they made some ugly finishes on these My 36 is even uglier. Seasick Green is probably the best description....but I bought it because it has a 5 octave range. The Steven's Extended Cutaways have unparalleled access. There is no neck heel. None. Members DeadNight Warrior
lol, lots of ugly guitars in this thread.. might as well stick with an SG Definitely some ugly shit in this thread. Depends what you're after. If you're not bothered about it being "classic" looking like your SG, pretty much any of the RG or Soloist kind of thing with a sculpted bolt on or neck-thru will have great upper fret access. My old 27-fret Edwards had fantastic upper fret access, although the neck pickup sounded pretty average. You could get all the way up to the 27th with ease, not that you'd ever want to. Also depends on how you play. How the fuck people are posting Explorers 'n' shit in here I've got no idea. Unless you grip the neck like a bat, you're not getting in there. And if you do grip it like a bat, good luck with the neck heel.

Members timmyfirst
Vanquish, i wouldnt want to be without mine now. The double cut is quite similar feeling to the SG.
Members Rock Hardness
lol, lots of ugly guitars in this thread.. might as well stick with an SG Even with my EC's, my go-to ax is an SG Supreme. 24 frets, ez access, secksy Midnight Burst Blue. Can't beat an SG.
Members Kardula
This or the 24 fret dinkys have great fret access too. But if you need it to the extreme, go with this: There it is, was looking to post this one but couldn't recall the name of it.
Members ENdtime
This one pretty enough? That green looks remarkably similar to the build I just sprayed.. Members ermghoti II
wrong. Neck throughs as a whole have better fret access than any other construction type. You can dislike them for other reasons if you must. Half of them, you don't contact a heel or bout irrespective of where on the fretboard you are.
