Members claveslave
I always thought that "Je t'aime...moi non plus" by Jane Birkin was pretty hot. Agreed though, Dusty sure could sell a song.

Okay, I admit it - after hearing the Brasil '66 version about 20 times over the past few days (it's been in "heavy daily rotation" since my daughter found their "Look Around" LP at a thrift store and bought it for us - my wife obviously loves that album...) I was eager to load Dusty's version into the iPod off the CD and revisit it... and MAN! While the Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 rendition is very good, Dusty owns that song! And it just might possibly be THE sexiest song ever - at least when she sings it. And the sax solo (and the whole arrangement for that matter) is perfect. So, where am I wrong? Got a better suggestion? I don't think you need to limit it to just her "The Look of Love" either. She sang sexy. Son of a Preacher Man, Morning Please Don't Come, Wishin' and Hopin". I just love her voice. It's very sexy.
Members Will Chen
+1,000,000,000 for Sade's No Ordinary Love. That Enigma song with the French chick and chanting monks. Also, Maxwell's entire Urban Hang Suite album...

Moderators Lee Knight Posted December 27, 2005 Moderators Share Posted December 27, 2005 This one from Damn Yankees (the musical, not the group) used to get me hot when I was 8 or 9. Whatever Lola wantsLola gets,Take off your coatDon't you know you can't win? You're no exception to the rule,I'm irresistible, you fool, give in!...Give in!...Give in! I always get what I aim forAnd you heart'n soul is what I came forLola wantsLola getsYou'll never winI'm irresistible, you fool,Give in...Give in...Give in. And then The Divinyls as mentioned earlier... I close my eyesAnd see you before meThink I would dieIf you were to ignore meA fool could seeJust how much I adore youI get down on my kneesI'd do anything for you I don't want anybody elseWhen I think about you I touch myselfI don't want anybody elseOh no, oh no, oh no Amen! But there are plenty of wonderful songs on that album, and You're In My Heart strikes me as sexy, though in a subtle way. Black Velvet, as done by Alannah Myles is drop dead sexy too. Too bad that was all pretty much all she had to offer. (Ok.. Love Is was pretty good, too. But not great.) Say what you want about Shania Twain, the woman can exude sexy like few others. I'm only a fan of a few songs and her looks (Yeah, I'm married but I'm not dead! ) but she has all the "pussycat" in her voice to match the acting and looks of some "sex kitten" actresses of the sixties and seventies. Members Tedster
I think you sort of have to divide "sexy" into A) Romantic bedroom music. Actually, for the sexy music of the "romantic bedroom" variety...no one can touch R&B...there are a lot of songs by both male and female vocalists that set the proper mood. B) Songs with that "{censored} beat". Not romantic...primally sexual.

Moderators Lee Knight Posted December 29, 2005 Moderators Share Posted December 29, 2005 I'm sorry, and no offense intended, but I can't put Etta James on the sexy list. I love the song... love it. Same with Aretha. Not sexy. Powerful, moving, almost religous in it ability to move, but not sexy. That's just my closed minded 2 cents.
