I always enjoyed the song "I touch myself".

Don`t remember who wrote it or sang it but the girl was pretty hot so my mind would wander.

That would be the Divinyls with the (then) lovely Christina Amphlett (no idea what she's looking like these days).

Yep. Hot song. Written by two dudes. Too much information yet???

Jessica Rabbit - Why Don't You Do Right?

( from the movie soundtrack for 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' )

( the actual singer is actress Amy Irving, one time wife of Steven Spielberg )

RUNNERS UP:

Sade - Ordinary Love - her voice just does something to me

Led Zep - The Lemon Song

Simon and Garfunkel - Feelin' Groovey (The 59th Street Bridge Song)

Marvin Gaye - Sexual Healing - Marvin's voice is an aphrodesiac

Frank Zappa - I Have Been In You ;)

Okay, I admit it - after hearing the Brasil '66 version about 20 times over the past few days (it's been in "heavy daily rotation" since my daughter found their "Look Around" LP at a thrift store and bought it for us - my wife obviously
loves
that album...) I was eager to load Dusty's version into the iPod off the CD and revisit it... and
MAN!

While the Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 rendition is very good, Dusty
owns
that song! And it just might possibly be THE sexiest song ever - at least when she sings it. And the sax solo (and the whole arrangement for that matter) is
perfect.

So, where am I wrong? Got a better suggestion?
:)

I don't think you need to limit it to just her "The Look of Love" either. She sang sexy. Son of a Preacher Man, Morning Please Don't Come, Wishin' and Hopin". I just love her voice. It's very sexy.

This one from Damn Yankees (the musical, not the group) used to get me hot when I was 8 or 9.

Whatever Lola wants

Lola gets,

Take off your coat

Don't you know you can't win?

You're no exception to the rule,

I'm irresistible, you fool, give in!...Give in!...Give in!

I always get what I aim for

And you heart'n soul is what I came for

Lola wants

Lola gets

You'll never win

I'm irresistible, you fool,

Give in...Give in...Give in.

And then The Divinyls as mentioned earlier...

I close my eyes

And see you before me

Think I would die

If you were to ignore me

A fool could see

Just how much I adore you

I get down on my knees

I'd do anything for you

I don't want anybody else

When I think about you

I touch myself

I don't want anybody else

Oh no, oh no, oh no

Amen!

Please God, NO!

But there are plenty of wonderful songs on that album, and You're In My Heart strikes me as sexy, though in a subtle way.

Black Velvet, as done by Alannah Myles is drop dead sexy too. Too bad that was all pretty much all she had to offer. :( (Ok.. Love Is was pretty good, too. But not great.)

Say what you want about Shania Twain, the woman can exude sexy like few others. I'm only a fan of a few songs and her looks (Yeah, I'm married but I'm not dead! ) but she has all the "pussycat" in her voice to match the acting and looks of some "sex kitten" actresses of the sixties and seventies. :thu:

I think you sort of have to divide "sexy" into

A) Romantic bedroom music. Actually, for the sexy music of the "romantic bedroom" variety...no one can touch R&B...there are a lot of songs by both male and female vocalists that set the proper mood.

B) Songs with that "{censored} beat". Not romantic...primally sexual.
