Members xStonr
I was on a quest for better sounding neck pickup. I tried quite a few. What I settled on was a new pickup set from Keystone pickups. The are available from Bill Lawrence web site. The Bill and Becky one. This neck pickup is the clearest, most articulate I've had installed. A close second was the custom wind P90 I got from Bryan at BG-pups.com. Members Karma1
I just dropped a Lace Sensor Gold in the neck of my 69 Tele Thinline reissue - sound sweet, and totally noiseless.
Members Uma Floresta
It seems to me that most Tele players here replace their neck pickup with a pickup of another type. If you only had one, which would it be? Either a P90 or a Filtron type pickup.

Interesting - what does it sound like? How's it different from a stock tele neck pickup?
Members DaleH
You left out the EMG T, very nice neck pickup.
Members Folky_Grunge
Can we have a guide on how these different neck pickups sound in a Tele (and on how they interact with the bridge pickup)? All these different possibilities are making me curious.
Members Mac_C
I have a GFS Fatbody in my Tele which is supposed to be more of a Strat neck pickup. It's perfect.
Members rock-lobster
it's a telecaster. you could throw a karaoke microphone into the neck position and it would sound good

Members dewees
I don't think these are the mini humbuckers the OP had in mind. Danny Gatton sure made the Bardens sound great, though. I love the neck pickup. Here's the neck:Here's the bridge:
