Members NotDead
Strats are DESIGNED for over-the-hill wannabe rockers.Contour for beer belly and one to prevent wrist arthritis, vibrato bridge so you don't have to strain your fingers, a bunch of small pickups that aren't too loud, tuners all on one side so you don't Alzheimer's and forget which side does what. You do realize I'm doing a tongue-in-cheek posting and would say the same about harley davidsons with lumbar support seats?
Members sleepeatplay
Damn, it's a tie!! I put over an hour on my tele today and about the same on my Stagemaster. The tele really has a lot more string tension, but it just speaks blues. I had to break out the SRV backing tracks and jam out. The Stagemaster was crunchy delicious metal all the way. Members Steadfastly
Tele. Actually there is no such thing as a strat. It's actually just a camouflaged telecaster, but please, please, please, don't tell any of the strat lovers. They'll hunt me down for letting the secret get out. Members poolshark
The only thing I really get out of a strat is the neck pickup and trem, and only then if well set up. Single/single teles are simple creatures, maybe, but it's damn near impossible to get a bad sound out of them.
