Members Juicy Elk Man
It was good stock. But now I like it even more. New pickups - BG Pure 90s. New tuners that don't rattle, and with a better tuning ratio. New Gotoh bridge and tailpiece. New electronics. And some nickel-silver inserts for the knobs to match all the other shiny bits

Members Grant Harding
Nice!!! Did it change the sound drastically or just a big more mid punch and treble?
Members Juicy Elk Man
Yeah, a bit more mid punch and a bit more zing in the treble. Mind you, the stock humbuckers had a good sound, but I was wanting that P90 vibe. I like to play early Sabbath stuff and stoner rock/metal, and doom - the neck pickup is perfect for that. The bridge pickup can nail that old school metal sound - think Iron Maiden, Judas Priest; it can do early thrash metal too - just have to turn up the noise gate with such high gain, no problem. Modern day brutal stuff - best left to humbuckers, hehe. But as far as single coils go, not much in the way of noise.

Members mrbrown49
I have a set of the BG pure 90s. They absolutely rock. Good choice.
Members Juicy Elk Man
Thanks mate. I don't solder much though - I tried to keep it as tidy as possible. There were some tricky spots though, esp the caps.
Members Juicy Elk Man
Sweet. Yep, I always wanted some P90 pickups - love the sound. Bryan does great work. Had some of his Phatty and S90 pickups in a strat I used to have.
