Members marko46
O.K. I was curious. Some of you guys, and gals, have some cool / bizarre names and I was wondering what they mean, if anything at all. Obviously, a lot of you I know. But there are several new names and some old ones that I'm curious about. If you feel like it, why don't you all post your name and it's significance. If it's TOP SECRET and you and your family are under the Federal Witness Protection Plan, cool, make something up. No big deal, just morbid curiosity. Thanks, Marko46
Members Fender Picker
My first instrument was a Fender CD-60 acoustic guitar. I picked it. Then I joined HC.FP
Members BroadST
BroadST - I've been using it on most forums I am on for a while. The first one I ever joined was an NHL board. I picked it because I am a Flyers fan and have been since the Broad Street Bullies days.

Members SyntheticTubs
Well, Over a year ago, I wanted to make a website that featured drums (tubs) of materials other than everyday ply wood. Synthetics like acrylic, carbon fiber, and fiberglass. I prefer the look/sound of wood drums (especially walnut) but I decided to name my site after often overlooked stuff in the drum kingdom. Members Carminemw
My close friends all know me as Carmine...and the MW are the initials of the former employer I used to work for. I did not want to change all my email contacts so I just kept using it the same name...pretty boring huh....

Members Hand Amputation
Hand Amputation - Name of an old "band" that my friend and I made up one hazy night years ago. We wrote one song, which was 24 seconds long. It made it onto a Hollywood skate video that was distributed in skate shops all 'round the world. My 24 seconds of fame. Plus I always have dreams that my hands are being dismembered!
Members genghiskog
When I was born my sister was just barely old enough to talk. She had a hard time with my name. She could only get out Kogin. The o has ah sound. I have been Kog ever since. I have always used it for everything. I did get some crap from teachers at school(long ago) and from employers for signing papers with it; but I refused to stop using it. I told them that it says "signature" not "name" so they got just what they asked for. If they want my name then look under the line where it says "name". I have always won that arguement to this point. I always figured - what are they going to do; kick me out of school or fire me because they don't like my signature? I even have Kog for my drivers licence signature.
Members Mogwix
typed it into the character creation screen of some video game (perfect dark for N64) some 8 years ago. Have been using it as my online moniker ever since, although in most places I drop the "wix" and just go as "mog". A lot of people thought that my name stemmed from the "moogles" on the final fantasy series games (see my avatar... i hung out in a lot of video game oriented forums), so that sort of stuck. I told them that it says "signature" not "name" so they got just what they asked for. I tend to sign things with a plus sign sort of thing. Things of "official" nature I'll sign with my real name, but school projects, artwork, autographs (yes... I've signed a few) and things of that nature are usually a fancy plus sign sort of thing that somehow looks like a "K"
Members ThePloughman
ThePloughman is the name Ive used on Ebay and all forums since 1999. It doesnt really have a specially significant meaning. Im not a farm boy. The Ploughman ploughs using two sticks to guide the groove ....... so does the drummer. Members sunspot
I have tatoo work on my ankle. It started out as a sun with a music note in the middle. Over the years I have expanded the artwork whenever there is a significant event in my life. During one of the sessions someone made a remark about a spot on the sun. Members 1001gear
A drum teacher used to mark up my music with comments and symbols and my favorite was the little little spectacles to indicate a reading hazard. I still can't sight read but I kept the icon. 1001 for looking at gear. I'm always finding new cryptology in it but that's basically it.
