A capo? it was like a hair tie/scrunchie type ting. lots of shredders use them to keep the strings from ringing while they tap/sweep. It wasn't even musical, his phrasing sucks, 99% of what he played had nothing to do with what was going on on the backing tracks. I don't play shred, I'm a Blues player at heart.
