It does have a sharp edge, they should round it off or do more of a cutaway, at least have the option. No big deal to me though, great fret access and I tend to play with my thumb under the fretboard up in that area anyway like you would an LP. I'm not a big fan of that finish but, I can say IMHO that those AL D models (and the DGT) have great feeling necks. Those two guitars were my favorite players in the shop.
