Members gazg123
Hi, I am fitting a killswitch to my strat and wondered if anyone knows what the best switch action and switch would be best?
Members the_bleeding
go to radioshack and use anything they have. You only need an spst.

Members 's mel gibson
Wouldn't a toggle style of kill switch be a better functioning kill switch. If "Off" were up and "On" was down, you could do that Eddie thing in one of the earlier songs.

Members BoneNut
What a cheezy "effect"! Why would you want to mod your guitar for that?!?! Just stick it in a {censored}ing pedal. Really, does anyone over 14 or beside buckethead, use a killswitch on more than one or two songs?

Members 's mel gibson
Yah! It is cheezy. I can't say I'd use it a lot. Silence between songs is a nice thing but can be achieved with a Boss TU-2. And you can be doing something constructive while you're muted. Members jonny guitar
I thought killswitches were campy trickery until I put one in my nephews guitar...man it was a very cool playing with it. I am more fusion than anything in my playing but I found I could inject lots of texture and rhythmic stuff into my normal playing and it sounded for from cheezy. Used in moderation it is as usefull as anyother effect. as to which one to use.....I believe that they all have lots of pushes until they die but the amount of noise that they generate is a completely different thing. We have gone through several now and they all add static after a couple of weeks of use.
