Members idlekd
If you're willing to go the squier route, check out the tele custom ii. You get the rugged tele construction with the casino's P-90s sans feedback. Find one that's put together nicely and put the rest into a nice tube amp and get dirty. Fender Blues or even Pro Jrs can definitely be found on craigslist for under $350.http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Squier-Tele-Custom-II-Electric-Guitar-with-P90-Pickups?sku=519584
Members Gonkboy
It's cool that you like the JAMC but in my opinion you would be better going for the most versatile guitar you can afford. That means in the future if you start playing in different styles of bands you have a guitar that can cover all your bases. I have a Casino in the house but i never use it. I play a modded jagmaster and a modded Dot. If I were you I'd go to guitar center and play as many guitars as i could until i found the 'one'. If any of the guys there gives you attitude tell him your situation. If the guy is half decent he'll help you get a suitable guitar. Good luck buddy. Me likeyAlso love my Pro Junior. Mine has better tone than my Blues Junior. But if you do go with a Semi-hollow (or hollow) then the BJ is a good choice. Its tone is just a good match with semi-hollows.
Members Rob Dobbs
I second the notion of a versatile guitar, again, coming from another person who owns a Casino and rarely plays it. In fact, its loaned out for a friend to record with as we speak. My main go to guitar is a modded Chinese 335 clone from "S101" that ran me $100 used. Wished I could have found that guitar 20+ years ago...

Members Rob Dobbs
yup, thats my 335 clone. For under $200 total I have the guitar thats right for my hands and the sound Ive been after. Dream 180 pups, orange drop caps, bone nut, done. If I had to choose between the S101 and the Casino, id pick the S101 hands down. It just feels right and plays like its on auto pilot. This is how it came for $100 used off Craigslistand the battle worn Black Casino

Members Rex Machete
Casino totally works for garage rock. I saw this group live, and that guitar made sounds I've never heard before.
Members HanSolo
Oh man, you made me cry with that rebuke. Sorry. I must have gotten the P93 they let "the apprentice" put together. The bridge pickup on mine was even installed backwards. Besides the workmanship defects, mine had no differentiation in sound between the 3pickup positions. No jangle on the bridge pickup at all. Who knows, it was probably miss-wired too. If yours holds its own, then I got a bad one.
