This is a version me and three of my buddies recorded nearly two years ago. There are drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitar, which is played by me. I play a Fender standard Mexican Strat with Texas Special pickups - amp: Fender Ultra Chorus (transistor amp).

 

The whole of the song, except vocals, but including guitar solos, is actually done in ONE take, and this was the very first time we sat down in the studio to record, so that didn't really take long.

 

It's a quite different version, inspired both by Jamie Cullum and Hendrix' original version. We've added our own elements as well. Enjoy!

I had that done by a company called Roscoe Guitars in Greensboro, NC. They used to build guitars and do all kinds of cool paint jobs back in the early 90's. These days they only make basses with natural wood finishes.

It looks like a Hipnosis design. UFO like very much. :cool:
