Members SirBoye
I still have my first guitar and first bass, both terrible. Ibanez Gio bass and a Johnson acoustic. I should really just have them both destroyed.
Members AMC
I voted no, but I do still have my first acoustic which was my first guitar. I was only thinking in terms of electrics for some reason. My first electric was an Ibanez rg120 and I sold it a little while ago. It was decent, but so friggin heavy! Members Grantus
I have sold off a lot of guitars. My first one, I gave away. It was a crappy Harmony Strat that wouldn't stay in tune if its life depended on it.

Members jbiggs1
yep, it's a late 80's Kramer Striker with the single/angled HB. Not in great shape, but it's still mine.

Members SuproSuper Man
yes I still got my first, my first was a old Kay that was handed down to me from my uncle . It was very hard to play with strings that were very high off the neck , you could really only play chords on the first 4 frets cause the strings action was so high,,,, few years ago i reset the neck angle and now the thing plays like a charm and still sounds great.. Members Gypsy Freedom
My first guitar was a Jay Turser Les Paul copy. It was full scale, but the body was 3/4 sized. It played REALLY well, however it sounded like garbage, so it was a good learning guitar. I gave it to my little brother to learn, as a 15 year old looked awkward with a dinky small guitar. So if I ever want to play it, its around for sentimentality, but its not like I miss it.
Members rorylawford
I still have my first electric guitar - a blue Westone Concord IIIt's just like this one only mine has a black pickguard (I'm too lazy to go down to the basement and take a picture of my own )
Members unworthy
I still have my old Teisco Del Ray hollow body not one of the better ones and never was a great player. But it has it's sentimental value. On the other hand I still have this one that was given to me and I hated with a passion for the longest time but now find it's worth money as a great slide guitar. I still have my first electric. It was a Teisco 3/4 size Casino-like-thingy. Real piece of crap. My Dad had a Silvertone exactly like that one. My Mom would love for me to bring it home, but it hasn't made the 1500 mile trip yet. I don't have my first guitar, it was a cheap nylon string classical. Looking back, it really wasn't a bad little instrument.D
Members mr benn
I miss my satellite bolt on les paul with the dodgy pickup selector that didn't work so it made it a killswitch and i splatter painted like john squire's guitars
Members gt5litre
Was an old Harmoy achtop made from mahogany. TOP COLLAPSED then replaced it with an Alvarez. Later got a 1966 Ric 360 12-string.
Members Furtive
No, but I have still have one from my first two years of playing (20 years ago) - a 1986 MIJ Contemporary Strat. It started off as a white three single coil, and ended up with h/s/h, custom blue paint, and Sperzels by the mid 90s.

You are right couldn't play it worth a crap (in the beginning) but the build inspired me for years and now inspires my own children and students. Members Metalrulez
Yep I still have my first baby. An Electra kinda LP shaped plywood thingy made in the late 70 to early 80's. It has been used and abused over the last 30 or so years of its hard life but it still plays.
Members nuke_diver
I have all of my guitars never sold one of them and have no plans to.My first is an Fender acoustic that my mom gave me so it has sentimental value beyond its worth. And it plays just fine though it's had a hole punched in the side by a plaque and been scratched up in 100 ways.My first electric is a 04 MIM strat that has a lovely neck on it and now has BG V60 pups and sound great (or at least as great as I can make it sound )
Members cratz2
Wow... really surprised at how many still have their first. My first was a 1983 strat, not 100% sure if it was a Squier or a Fender. I've not seen one exactly like mine after a few years of searching eBay, but I've seen them close. Mine had a cream body, black headstock, no pickguard, H/S/S. Mine had a 5 way switch and I've seen several Squiers with the three mini toggles. And mine had a standard trem while I've seen several Fenders with the funky trem. I'd probably buy one if I could find one exactly like my old one though. Members EJD
1935-1940 Harmony Vogue B. Just found it lying at a dump, and snatched it up, as I was looking for a guitar, since I wanted to start learning.I didn't know what it was at the time, of course, but I researched the name later on down the line. She's currently got a snapped bridge, among with other problems. I'm sending her to Gary Palmer, over in Acoustics, to get fixed soon as I can afford to.
Members Karma1
I do still have my first guitar - it's the acoustic hanging on the wall: a Harmony nylon string that I took lessons on when I was a kid. It's probably from the late 50's or early 60's. I sure wish I still had my first electric - a used, well-worn 60's Fender Jaguar that I bought for $115 from a little hole in the wall shop on 48th St. in NYC around 1971. It would be worth a fortune now.
