The emotion in that piece is massive even though the instrumentality is somewhat minimalistic

And I luvs me my HANS ZIMMER!
And I rock this piece totally on guitar and make myself wet.

One of my all-time favorite tunes from the '60s written by an incredibly prolific composer, Maurice Jarre and as interpreted by Paul Mauriat - dripping French

This last piece is from the movie "Is Paris Burning?". About the true story of the Nazi plan to burn Paris to the ground if they lost control. The story goes that the commanders in charge had so much fallen in love with Paris that they could not bring themselves to follow Hitler's command.

Funny you should mention that, I just introduced (or most likely re-introduced) my wife to Jon Cryer's incredible (short) performance miming Otis Redding in that Movie

Nice contributions. I luvs me some Leonard Cohen and Sweet Jane is a fave Lou Reed/ Cowboy Junkies' tune of mine.

D A G Bm A D A G Bm A

Sweet little chord riff.

The Cowboy Junkies are performing tonight in my town and I'm not there. {censored}, I need to find a surrogate for nights when my wife is working. It's only fair, right?

THE greatest song of all time, Carry On Wayward Son by Kansas was from a little known Henry Winkler (The Fonz) movie from the 70s.

Reminds me, I have a riddle of my own I sometimes force upon people.

What was the name of the movie, that "Unchained Melody" came from?

Nobody ever gets it right.

It was in "Ghost", correct? Not one of my favorites, but I think it was in that. Maybe originally in a much earlier movie?

the Unchained movie?

Exactly.

Unchained was a movie about a prison release work farm. "Oh my love, my darling, I hunger for your touch, a long, lonely time"
. I.e. the dude was in jail.

1955

It's kind of like the riddle, "Who's buried in Grant's Tomb?"

Except "What movie was Unchained Melody from?" rarely gets a win. ;)
