Members honeyiscool
Is it just me or did Squier pick really lame color schemes for these guitars? Dress some of these in daphne blue, seafoam green, or candy apple red, with appropriate colors for plastics, and they'd be super sweet guitars. Take a look at this ugly black Jagmaster: It looks OK, but something's off. Now, look at what a Jagmaster could look like, just with better colors: But I guess Fender knows that if these had better colors, they wouldn't sell a single Blacktop... Members epi56ebony
Man these new Squiers I've been seeing at GC are looking really good. I wonder how much the sales are eating into the actual Fender MIM and USA models?
Members honeyiscool
Yeah those are very cool finishes. Once again, you put those on a Squier, instant sex, but they never would. Man these new Squiers I've been seeing at GC are looking really good. I wonder how much the sales are eating into the actual Fender MIM and USA models? I think they're so different that nobody would want a Squier Jaguar if they really GAS'd for the real thing, but if the crowd of people they're trying to attract is the people who like the looks of one but not necessarily the quirks, I feel like the looks aren't up to par. Members slushpup96
I want a Blue Flower Jag now, Fender Japan made me think of that... Or maybe white with gold hardware/pickguard. But yes, I played a Jagmaster the other day and it was pretty good but I am so sick of sunburst.
Members xrleroyx
I'm considering buying a hollowbody JM from Fender Japan. Oh lordy.

Members Grantus
Doesn't Fender save most of the cool colors for Fender guitars?
Members vintage clubber
I actually like the black one... the silver sparkle and candy apple red were available on the older Jagmasters and as far as I know their neck scales are 25 1/2" which would be my preference anyway... Members honeyiscool
The black's fine, with a tortoise or a black guard, or with chrome pickups. As it is, it looks cheap, like a copy.
Members Grantus
It's a Squier, it's supposed to look cheap.
Members honeyiscool
It's a Squier, it's supposed to look cheap. There are plenty of good looking Squiers out there, especially of Strat or Tele variety. The offsets are quite ugly by comparison.
Members jimtalkbox
Agreed, a Squier Jazzmaster in Surf Green would be in my "Shopping Cart" pretty quickly.
Members Malcolm Ramone
Yep, I totally agree. If I end up keeping my black one, tort guard fer sure. And I didn't really like the black guard on the anniversary, so I picked up a white pearl guard for mine. (not installed yet) -Adam
Members homestar_kevin
That silver sparkle is the coolest finish on a jagmaster. Also these guitars(besides the jagmaster, which HAS come in silver sparkle and CAR) are realllly new. Like less than a year new. I bet new colors cold come out eventually, but not yet. Members thom
Not a huge fan of those surfy colors personally. Sunburst, natural, black and poo brown is where it's at for me. And what's with all the hard tail hb/hb "jaguars"?
Members honeyiscool
I put a 22 fret Strat neck on my silver sparkles. I locked the trem down and now it's a great punk rocker.

Members richey888
I would have probably bought the Buttescotch if it was available, but I unpackaged this @ Russo's, tweaked it a bit and took it home. Since this pic I have soaked the guard in coffee (need to do that like 10 more times but what a waste of Java!), may try some Rit dye to parchment it up a bit (also roughed it up), but I like 'bursts, and this axe is super cool. Killer diller neck.

Members Special J
For me, it's not so much the color choices, but the lack of tremolo, chrome bits, and switches that make these look cheap and decidedly un-offset like.
