Members Kap'n
Nice score! Be really careful if you plug it in with the 2 prong plug. And replace those filter caps!

Members cratz2
Ya know what's funny... I was just given this guitar at a gas station outside Philly from a guy that said he'd just sold his amp. It's kinda banged up, but not too bad considering it''s 45 years old... Members Doctor Morbius
Better get me a Fender bumpersticker. Wonder if I should get a Hooters one too? I'm definitely getting Fender and Hooters bumper stickers!

Moderators Ratae Corieltauvorum Posted August 18, 2011 Moderators Share Posted August 18, 2011 How tremendously awesome!! You do realize that if you try to go back to that gas station ..... it won't be there anymore... Cue twilight zone music! Sooner Twilight Zone music than some George Thorogood......did the guy at the gas station say it belonged ta his brother and did he use the word "{censored}ters"? Members richey888
Wow would love to hear the story behind this! Did the gas station attendant know the worth of this thing? Yup. He said "Ya know they refurb these things and sell 'em for $2k..." I think he wanted to see it go to a good home, said he broke a finger years ago and can't play anymore. The wife thinks he wanted to piss off a relative or something. Who knows? His name is Richie also.....Also wanted to sell me a Realistic PA head (I have one already). Taking it to the amp guy this weekend. There's a guy down the street that does amazing things with SF's. We'll let him have a looky. Still shaking. Members JWBlues
Very cool! Last time I went to the gas station all that happened to me is that I was asked by some guy for a $1 so he could buy a soda. I need a new gas station. Enjoy the amp! Members newbuilder
Holy moly! That sir is a stroke of great luck and as someone who won a Mason and traded a bolt neck Vietnamese LP copy for a Carvin and a Charvel, you sir are still the winner! Guess there is only one thing left to say...

DID YOU SIGN ONE OF THESE????? No and no.....kinda feel like I hit a good lottery ticket though. Appears to be completely stock. I'm frankly surprised as the weather here sux that it's still in one piece. One tiny drip of paint and loose tweed on a corner. Kinda makes a quiet blurble when you 1st turn it on, but otherwise is loud (10w, 10" Jensen P10, the label fell off but the codes and serial number is correct for Jensen) and hardly breaks up at all even on 12 it's fairly clean. Members fretmonster
Wow, perfect amp for the style you were playing. Sounds great - Strat? Tele? I guess you'd have to mic it in a band situation. Lucky you.
