Happy New Government!!!!!!!!
:thu:

Thank you :thu: - now lets hope they don't pull an Obama. Our situation is much better than the US's though, so they might have a chance :D

And it is going to be complicated with both a centre party and communists, that the social-democrats (=labour) and the socialists (who combined will make up the actual government) have to rely on for support...

Anyway - enough with the politics.

Here is a daylight shot (with some direct sunlight as well) - now what is the colour???

So, i mailed Fender and got this answer back - i guess that this is not decisive, but at least shows that Agave Blue was an option then.

Side note : Interesting that it is an Alder body - i thought they used poplar up into the late 90's.

Here are the specs on your guitar built in October 1994.

Model Name: Standard Stratocaster

It's Agave Blue. I had one and it always photographed slightly darker than it looked in real life.

Good to hear - for some reason it just doesn't have the deeper blue of the LPB, but that was hard capturing digitally - despite my messing around with different lighting when taking pics and the white balance in RAW processing mode, the colour just seems to elude the sensor in the camera. :D

Here is the colour (same guitar  ) under different lighting conditions:

It could be Ocean Turquoise:

Yeah - it could be that too. Maybe. :D

However, even though i can get mine to look a bit like yours on pics, irl it has a sort of slight greyish tinge that i think the ocean turquoise doesn't have.

I have also looked at ice blue metallic and the likes...

Basically i have discovered that Fender has a lot of blue colours, and that many of them are difficult to photograph accurately.

What we really need is a picture where all the different blues are lined up next to each other and photographed under the same conditions and lighting.

...give me 20 more years and i might be able to do that pic ;) - i have just found out how cool i think blue guitars look.

Agave Blue was only made for a couple of years; the same yrs as sage green. I think I recall your strat being an earlier 1990s model, which would eliminate the AB option.

Erhemmm... did you read the post where i showed the email i got from Fender in which there is a list of the possible colours on that guitar? ;) - Agave Blue was an option in '94 (which is the actual year of production - despite me thinking that it was a '93 due to the serial no.)
