Members Blackface
Guitars, but I do find it weird that a lot of people on this board seem to have tons of guitars and only one or two amps. I think the amp makes a bigger difference in the tone than the guitar.

Members Brian Krashpad
Probably almost 2 to 1 in favor of axes over amps. This's some 5 years ago, but the ratio hasn't really changed, though some pieces have:
Members z28talon
About three times as many guitars. 14 electric guitars and 5 amps. Three amps take turns at home, one is at my rehearsal location and the other is for convenient and easy portability.

There is one demo on youtube that makes it sound pretty amazing.
Members jpnyc
4 guitars, 1 amp. If I had the money I would just replace the amp with a Triaxis and play it straight into monitors. I live in a Manhattan apartment, so I rarely use the one amp I do have.
Members Ovid9
Six playable guitars and five amps. Pieces to another couple guitars I'm slowly accumulating parts to put together. My wife's gonna love that.

Members Special J
Electric guitars - 9Amps - 5 (not counting the Leslie or the little practice amps) While amps do make a big difference in tone, I don't find that I need that many different ones. Even of the 5 I own, only 3 get much use. I'm partial to Vox and Fender tones, and have those well covered.

Members notjonahbutnoah
I have uh, *does math* 7 guitars, 1 on the way in the mail, and 3 amps. Only one real tube head though, the others are smaller, solid state practice/backup type amps... I don't even really count them. If you find the right amp, and especially if you use pedals, the amp gas nearly vanishes.

I mean, sure there are some amps it'd be cool to have, but the only ones I really want are way outta my range so its pretty easy to not get them. Course, now I have continual pedal gas which adds up to more than amps I think.
Members z28talon
How do you like your mini rectifier? There is one demo on youtube that makes it sound pretty amazing. Very impressed. Lots of tonal range and plenty of volume. Sounds very good even at very low volumes in the 10 or 25 watt option. Kind of cool looking with the red glow too. It is a very dynamic amp. Responds real well to your pick technique or attack. I replaced my very heavy and great sounding Mesa Rectoverb Combo with the Mini. The only thing the Mini seems to be missing when compared to the Rectoverb, is the weight. I loved the tone out of my Rectoverb and the Mini has plenty of great tone in a deceptively small package. Members Brian Krashpad
GOOD GAWD! I think that pic was when I had around 20, maybe 22 electrics (including basses). I'm currently at 25 electrics and 3 acoustics (including one acoustic-electric). Trust me, wait'll bbreaker and any number of others from this forum post. As ludicrous as my crap is, there's a goodly number of folks here with double and triple mine. Also, quite a lot of mine are inexpensive imports, and I've been playing for 40 years, so it's not like they all just came out of nowhere. Here's the current stable (electrics only), except for an Epi Casino I just got as a birthday present (from my bandmates at church!):
Members jrockbridge
I've downsized to 9 guitars, 4 amps and a full digital rig. Also, I think I still own more than 20 stomp boxes. Clearly, the pedals are winning the numbers game here.
Members kit_strong
Well, if you count the myriad of "amps" at my disposal via my HD500 and various software plugins then I have way more amps that guitars. But if we are talking actual amps then guitars by a long shot. I have 3 amps, a Mesa Boogie Electra Dyne, A Roland Cube 30 (which would be hard to sell now with all the other stuff on the market) and a Rogue SC80 I picked up for $99. I've been considering selling the Mesa and if I could get $100 I'd gladly sell the Cube 30 (or find a needy kid to give it to).
Members Flogger59
I have 15 instruments (their's a uke in there) and 10 amps. 5 of my instruments are acoustic, so electrically it's 1 to 1.
