Has your guitar ever won you carnal attention from someone you physically admire?

Expanding on my thoughts slightly.

Guitar has only ever won me the affections of damaged women, who turned out to be clingy, obsessive and in some cases, totally insane. I tend to get friend-zoned by the well-adjusted women that I've been enamoured with in the past, since they consider my playing "a cool hobby". Whenever I have been lucky enough to escape the friend-zone, it's never been down to the guitars. It's always been the charismatic (read: cynical), razor-sharp wit and (I know, this shocked even me) my looks. Long hair on a dude is apparently attractive. Personally, I thought it was necessary when I played metal. Now that I play my own brand of groove-rock, I've grown attached to it (both literally and emotionally).

So, if a girl can look past your guitar playing and see you for you as a person and not a juke box, she's a keeper in my opinion.

Looking like Ron Jeremy was always a better ice breaker for me and the liberal use of rohypnol insured they wouldn't remember the difference....
:o

Probably a story best left untold at yours and Mrs. Frets' next anniversary party

As a young lad, my acoustic at parties. While going to university, I sang and played acoustic a lot. There is no doubt it aided my cause. My mates and I rented this massive 3 story house, which led to stories we still tell over 20 years later.

My ex had a thing for Les Pauls.... and other men

Yeah been there, done that. Dated her for 3 years. Cheated on me on New Years Eve, while I was playing a gig. Bought a ring for her, was going to give it to her that night. She then went to the cops and pressed fake rape charges to put me in prison.

She was a vindictive ****. Watch out for girls who like Les Pauls.

When I pull out this guitar and cackle out some old Dylan or Simon and Garfunkle, I get laid every single time. No exceptions. It's a babe magnet--but it's been the same babe for many years. Viagra? Cialis? Postivac? Not in my future! First of all, we share the same bathtub and a blowjob machine is just cheating. If your partner can't do the work of a Postivac, you need to find a good sex therapist or another partner. God help me if I'm struck with the dreaded ED curse because of this rather insensitive post.

I think I saw this story on MSNBC Lockup Extended Stay. Yikes. How do prosecutors prove something like that? Isn't it like one person's word against another? I suppose it boils down to who lucks out with the best lawyer.
