RIP. You were one of the good ones you will be missed. My condolences to his family.

I will miss my NGD'S rated by aslan, the world famous guitar kitten. My last and highest 4 paws, a tail tip, and a nose waaaay up http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?t=2223422 If you can read this up there I will admit I always liked the fireburst a tad better but don't tell anyone,

I don't know if I posted this but services for Johnny will be in Big Bear, Ca this Saturday at 11 am at the First Baptist Church. Potluck to follow. I will be there.

PM me for directions if needed. I know some of you knew him personally or live close enough to attend.

This thread and the kind words have been a great encouragement for Johnny's wife during this difficult time.

Surfy

I didn't know him personally but I did enjoy his posts, I'm saddened with what happened but when I read this post for some reason it hit me pretty hard. Maybe the fact that I can practically see Big Bear from here and it makes everything feel so close, like maybe we ran into each other and didn't know... I've never been one gifted with words in a time like this, but I do miss the occasional paw up, to say the least
I can't imagine what it must be like for the people who really knew him, my condolences to you guys.

...instead we're greeted by many,

Hugs, handshakes and hi-fives come at us from all sides,

Jimi, George and John, Randy, Stevie, and Jerry

These are just a few of those who are there to extend welcomes

Here the strings never break, cable never tangle, and picks are never lost

Our #1 is handed to us and we're brought to the stage

The tone is sweeter than anything we've ever heard on Earth

There is only one thing we look forward to more than each nights jam,

And that's whenever we get to welcome another brother to guitarist heaven.

RIP Leopardstar

I really liked this comment, I can imagine this and it would be sweet that heaven is what ever we want it to be. Being greeted by the greats and escorted to center stage with your #1 guitar to the greatest concert ever...just the thought makes me nervous!:thu:

I have not been here for a long time; I am really sad to see this thread.

Leopardstar was an awesome guy; we spoke in pm's quite a bit; I used to look forward to his post and seeing how Aslan would rate my new guitars and others.

He will be missed by many people but not forgotten.

I feel really sad now for a man I never actually met; yet I will miss him.

It's a little known fact that there are two ways into heaven

There's the front gate, where you're handed your harp

But the lucky few know the second, it more resembles a loading dock

We already know our name is on the list, this gig was booked years ago

St. Peter isn't there to meet us, instead we're greeted by many,

Hugs, handshakes and hi-fives come at us from all sides,

This is without a doubt the most encouraging post I've ever read. And I hope heaven can be what ever you want it to be, because I want it like you described it. One bar of silence in memoriam.
