Hamer Special P90 (TV yellow)

Hamer Special P90 (black)

Hamer Studio (I think that's what they call it)

Hamer Vector MIK

Hamer Standard MIK

Edit - The Vector is gone (nice guitar, but I didn't bond with it).

New USA Special from 1981 or 1982.

Californian MIC.

I almost had an Eclipse last week but the damn thing got away. Oh well . . . another will turn up.

Your Hamer is one of the few HAMERs I haven't owned and regret not buying one yet. They are without a doubt one the nicest sounding Dual humbucker guitars EVER built. Hamer sustain block Special's are the Real-Deal. I have ran into a few. But always seriously altered and banged up bad, or real expensive. But I'll catch one sooner or later.
For NOW......................MIRAGE II KOA-Top.

That's a beautiful shred forest alright!

Now we know where all the Chaps, Diablos and Calis went!
:p

Anyway, that one Centaura sure looks lonely there... maybe you should cheer it up by sending it to me... my centaura should keep it company
:D

Seriously though, i think i'm in Hamer shred heaven... I don't think i've seen so many Hamer shredders together before! *drools*

So that looks like 16 Hamer Shred-machines! How long have you been having them? Did they cost much? I mean did you buy them new or collected 'pre-loved'?

Do Diabs, Chaps and Calis share the same body shape? I know that the Centaura is a 15/16 size of a strat body. I guess that's why i like it so much...

Actually the Centaura is no longer lonely she got a sister Centaura in Red big sparkle paint. 2 of the Guitars where purchased Brand Spanking NEW! and all the rest were preloved. Each guitar cost a different amount! some i got really cheap and others i paid thru the nose for!!!!!! Each different type of Hamers that i have, have similar body shape. but with Hamer they made them however they felt that day so each one is unique in some way.

Just so everyone knows. I do Not SELL Guitars often! Each one gets used and loved. for any info on Hamer specs visit the Hamer Fan Club. they know their guitars and could fill you in on what i can not! :);)

Guess I never posted mine...got it early last month. It's a 1997 Hamer Phantom Custom that's been modded for a P90 in the neck (Rio Grande Jazz) and for a three way and two way switch(es) instead of the clunky 5 way rotary dial.

Do you guys think it looks better with the zebra bridge pup or the black bridge pup? It has the black BG Bucker in it right now, but I'm going to replace that with a Rockfield SWC and can't decide on which color to order...

I think I saw mention of your axe in another thread - sweet!

Definitely do a Zebra pup - but put the cream in the middle - black-cream-black.

Also consider getting a cream p-90 cover to try that out. might offset from the pickguard nicely.

what do ya'll think about the mirage II or the american specials?....as they seem to be the only ones that go for under a thousand..

Look through this thread and you'll see my Hamer Mirage II with a Koa top. They are KILLIR electrics and I own a FEW Hamer's and have owned many others.

The Special? Let me tell you, if you can find an older one in decent shape that has the Sustain Block ionstead of the Stop-Tail and TOM? Thats another Hamer that is just a KILLER guitar. But you could still buy US Hamer Daytona's, T-51's and T-52's fpr under $1000. All of them are equal to Fenders Custom Shop in Quality.

My Mirage is one of the best dual humbucker electrics I've EVER owned. I would never get rid of it. I bought my Artist Custom for $900. and my Newport Pro for ....well I won't even say.

Friend of mine has a drop dead MINT Artist Korina P-90. But he wants $1000 and I think thats a little high. But as I said its CHERRY.

Look Around...MANY USA Hamer's under $1000. Studio's all day for around $800.

This is a T-62 with a on-board EQ, I had the 12th one built by Hamer. Beside's the body it also had the most figured neck I've ever seen with locking Tuner's[sperzels]. But the necks are Thin on them. Great guitar though.

I'm a HAMER Buff and have been playing them since 97 when they moved to my home state of CT. My FIRST was a Artist Custom in Honey which i will show photo's of later. Then came a Studio 95. Then a Newport-Pro. Then a T-62 93 that was the third one built and FIRST in Sunburst. BUT............THIS is the one that has been illusive. I almost bought a Brand new 96 in the beginning of 97 for $1599. in Transparent BLUE. Instead I bought the ARTIST CUSTOM. I have looked for another for 10 YEARS in BLUE and have seen ONE! That was on the Hamer Forum and NOT for SALE. This one here? You will NEVER EVER see another one like this ONE either! This is a SERIOUSLY TRICKED OUT MIRAGE II. The pick-ups are Custom Built by the Man himself Mr. DiMarzio. Take a look at this PORN. I was looking for a PRS and came across my Dream Guitar. And I'll tell you why. I have sine 97 increased my playing skills with a Trem, 10-fold. Back then I really didn't need a Trem. But NOW.....with me its really a needed option on the electric I ACTUALLY PLAY. Another issue is a 25-1/2 scale? I just prefer the Fender scale and LOVE its Tone with Humbuckers especially on a 22fret electric. This MIRAGE meets ALL these requirments. They no longer build the MIRAGE nor do they build the T-62 or T-51. BTW guys a Rosewood fretboard T-51 is another Hamer I have been looking for that I foolishly missed years ago. {having a little problem with PHOTOBUCKET} I'll get back to you guys SOON!

Here's the MIRAGE II you were talking about. Find a good one and they are KILLER! Stock pups on them are SD 59/JB's though which are fine. I opt for something a little more versitile. This has 4-humbucker's in it!

so is this deal worth it?

I don't have personal experience with 'import' hamers but someone else on this thread does. I'd say that the guitar plus case is a good deal and would make a superb beater or even intermediate guitar.
