I prefer to have the dive option when I want it. Flattening the trem without blocking it is the best of both worlds; tuning stability and a hardtail look, while still allowing some vibrato.

I'm in this camp.  Springs cranked just enough that bending a string won't allow the bridge to deflect.  No pull ups but I never use them anyway.

Why would you still need the springs with that?    Looks interesting, but seems to just deck the bridge, which can easily be accomplished by putting 5 springs in and screwing the claw all the way in.

The idea is that it's instantly reversible even on stage or at a gig

"

A SOLID BRASS BLOCK TO ENHANCE SUSTAIN AND STRING DEFINITION
FITTED WITH A STABILISER TO LOCK THE TREMOLO SYSTEM IN A HARDTAIL POSITION

NO ADDITIONAL PACKING PIECES REQUIRED
CONVERT FROM FLOATING TREM TO HARDTAIL AND BACK AGAIN

THE ONLY TOOLS REQUIRED ARE A HEXAGON KEY FOR THE LOCKSCREW ( PROVIDED )
AND A FLAT BLADE SCREW DRIVER

THE FIXED BRIDGE POSITION IS ACHIEVED BY TURNING THE STABILISER SCREW AND
LOCKING IN POSITION
A QUICK RETUNE IS REQUIRED TO BRING THE STRINGS BACK TO PITCH

TREMOLO SPRING SETTINGS AND CLAW POSITION REMAIN UNCHANGED

RETURN TO FLOATING TREMOLO POSITION BY TURNING STABILISER TO ORIGINAL POSITION AND RETUNING"
