Members vonrang
I very much liked the coil splitting of my G&L ASAT Tribute, but the tonal palate was limited. I had Thom Abell of String Theory Guitar Repair http://www.stringtheoryguitarrepair.com install a matched set of DiMarzio D-Activator pickups along with a Jimmy Page Les Paul Push/Pull harness using a Jimmi Soldo's bulletproof 50' style schematic http://www.jerseyshoreguitargarage.com. All of the pots fit in the control compartment without needing any alteration to the control compartment other than two additional holes for the two additional pots. The selector switch had to be turned sideways to fit. The knob recesses were cut with a 25/32" (20mm) Forstner bit and finished in amber NC lacquer. An extra set of stock knobs was obtained from G&L. The full selection of available tone configurations is outstanding! Thank you Thom & Jimmi

Members vonrang
Thank you Joe! I can't take credit for the wood or finish. That goes to G&L. Thom Abell and I discussed the layout for the controls vs. the available space in the control compartment and we both arrived at the linear layout of the push/pull pots rather than the typical trapezoidal pattern found on most Gibson LP & SG guitars. By the way G&L provided the knobs for free.
