I am about to start Crying of Lot 49 tonight. After that it's Journey to the End of the Night and then Fast Food Nation.

I got books for my birthday. I am a nerd.

Journey to the End of the Night is probably my all-time favorite book along with Dostoievsky's Crime and Punishment... Enjoy! :thu:

As a Lit major, school decides what I read and when I read it.

Most recently were Kate Chopin's The Awakening, Frankenstein, and Huck Finn

Now, I'm on to Caroline Miller's Lamb In His Bosom for Georgia Literature.

So, four novels by midterm...lots of fun. The last thing I read outside of school was Andy Summer's One Train Later, a very good biopic.

Journey to the End of the Night: one of my faves! :)

Fast Food Nation: an interesting read. put me off meat for at least 3 hours.

Crying of Lot 49: i'm reading Pynchon too--V. as recommended by utterhack.

i'm also reading Arguing Comics, a collection of essays on the medium from the first half of the 20th century, and Guerilla Home Recording.

I've been wading through
Only Revolutions
for way too long.

Also, I've been reading
Handmade Electronic Music: The Art of Hardware Hacking
by Nicholas Collins

I should read both of these. House of Leaves is really weird, but I love it. I recommend everyone picks it up and at least tries it. Give it a few hours, and you'll "get it".

Currently reading "starship troopers" by Robert Heinlein, much deeper book than the film would make you believe :)

Just finished re-reading The Gormenghast trilogy, love the first two!

PS Remember reading the Thomas Covenant Books when I was at college, seems everyone did back then but can't see the appeal anymore.
