Members onyxrhino
besides mojo, what are the advantages to the original whammy versus the latest reissue?
Members TomCTC
besides mojo, what are the advantages to the original whammy versus the latest reissue? The only major difference sound-wise I've noticed is that when changing presets, there is a small lag on the reissue whereas it is instantaneous on the original. Think the intro to "Voice of the Voiceless" by Rage or the solo to "Shadow of the Sun" by Audioslave. But of course, the guts are different in both but the RI does a great job of copping the glitches and garbled sounds of the original.
Members Heineken
besides mojo, what are the advantages to the original whammy versus the latest reissue? F#%k the mojo. It sounds and tracks better. But not nearly that price. 2 of my friends have the WhammyI. I have the II. I'd pay $400 tops for it.
