Members petejt
I have more use for flanger though. I use it as a kind of filter for melody lines, sounds good and kind of synthy/metallic. Very Cure-esque. Cool.

Members LauraPalmer
Jerry Garcia got some lovely phase sounds from his script phase 90. Crazy Fingers is the best example I can think of.I would say that dub & reggae influenced me to use a phaser the most. Jerry used a script logo phase 100, but yes, nice tones... Members LauraPalmer
+1Ernie Isley's solo in the Isley Brothers 'That Lady (part 1 &2)' is a killer too. Although it may be a Univibe. Any more info on that one? Nope, that's a maestro plus a big muff....
Members goodhonk
i just used my Phase live, for the first time yesterday. it was mellow and just for the bridge of one song. i'm sure no one even noticed, but now i can justify owning a phaser! Members ReckedTrek
Jerry used a script logo phase 100, but yes, nice tones...It was probably a Phase 90... it just looked like a phase 100 to Gerry
Members Electric Catfish
It was probably a Phase 90... it just looked like a phase 100 to Gerry I wonder what a person could be on to make "Jerry" look like "Gerry", though?
Members ReckedTrek
I used a phase 90 from about 98' up until about a year ago, then I've been using a Sweet sound MojoVibe since then. I like the MojoVibe, but really miss having a phaser on my board. My Phase 90 is a basic late 90's Dunlop RI. I've been thinking about getting a 74' phase 90 RI (and a bypass loop) or a Retrosnic phase... anyone use one of these? Phase rocks!

Edit: I just realized this was my post #420... how messed up is that?!

Members wingfijm
Led Zep definately was my phaser inspiration. Specifically, Achilles Last Stand and Nobody's Fault But Mine. I have a BYOC Phaser and a vintage 2.0 Small Stone. They are both so different but incredibly useful.

Members int.parascope
Jesu uses phasers amazingly, but I'm pretty sure their setup isn't as simple as guitar->amp->phaser->amp or that kind of thing, he uses alot of them.
Members eclipseall
Phaser is pretty much the only modulation effect I would use. I cant stand chorus and I have no use for flange or tremolo.

Members Roy Brooks
I have an old Roland phase shifter. I do not think phase shifters are useless. Both Johnny Winter and Lightnin Hopkins made some really cool music with phase shifters.
Members echodeluxe
i think the phaser is great for subtle stuff. i never really dug the cranked phaser sound.
