Members Stratman Tigers
I love the Talking Heads. If you want to talk about one of the most influential bands post-1975, it starts with them
Members Emory
Talking Heads music is as fresh today as when it was made. Best band of the 70's and 80's. Music with sense, style, innovative approaches and you could dance to it.

I think Vampire Weekend ripped off pretty much everything the Talking Heads did and they aren't nearly as entertaining live. Those guys suck period. Talking Heads live in Rome with Adrian Belew in 1980, look it up it's epic shizznit

Isn't that how most guys write their lyrics? After the music? It makes so much more sense. Speaking of sense, I love Stop Making Sense.
Members Facing Failure
I really want to cover either road to nowhere or once in a lifetime badly. Members red_riviera
I love this song. Its all so cynical. Byrne is a genius. That might be how it comes across, but Byrne himself says: "Uniformity and restriction don't have to be debilitating and degrading. The easy way would be hating the government, hating people's ordinary lives. I thought was too pat and wrote a song that was sympathetic to people who live in the suburbs or in high rises and work in offices." But agreed, Byrne is a genius and TH were great. Intelligent music to dance to... very rare. And 'Cities' is a great choice to cover.
Members Stratman Tigers
If I were to cover one TH song, it'd be Heaven. The version of Stop Making Sense is chilling. I love Belew, can't believe I don't have these, I only have a 2cd TH best of. The essential Talking Heads is not necessarily their work with Adrian Belew(this is still amazing material btw), but the stuff produced by Eno. Eno and Talking Heads go together like peas and carrots. Check out: Fear of MusicRemain in LightSpeaking in Tongues (this is their big pop record)More Songs about Buildings and Food
Members WRGKMC
Saw the Heads way back when they were first starting out at CBGB's. I lived in New Jersey growing up and we'd make the trek to NYC to see all the latest bands coming out.

The best album, imo, was Remain in Light which was that magical combo of byrne/eno/belew. They are one of the only bands that I liked when I was very young that I still love now.
