Now what to do with my strats?

I've been through different types and brands of single coils and I give up. I find myself sad  by the sounds and end up playing da blues when all I want to do is rock out:rawk:!

Should I pool route and try something new?

I really like the feel of strats - I've custom ordered necks and finished them myself, never really like the feel of anything else though.

guess I could sell the bodies and use the necks on Jazzmaster or a tele - but I could just custom order a pickguard and do whatever pickup setup I can think of.

I like low-to-medium output SC-sized rail humbuckers, myself. :idk:

To my ear, they have a sound somewhere between singles and fullsized. It is tighter and thicker than the singles, and brighter, thinner, and more violent than the fullsized. I dig them.

Kinman Woodstock Plus set. That's what you need to check out.

Have it in my G&L S-500 and love it. Get it with the K9 No Soldering Harness. Great because you don't need to have any experience doing anything - no soldering required. And you get new quality pots, switch, etc. that all work optimally with the pickups.

I play buckers in the bedroom, but they just get lost in the band's mix when I play out. SCFTMFW

I've had this problem plenty of times. I think part of it comes down to darker cleans/buckers in general sounding better at lower volumes. Nothing cuts through the mix like a tele.
