Tremolol: Pre or Post dirt

I've been GASing for a trem for awhile, and I ordered a Lovepedal Babyface trem on black friday because it was cheap. CSB

 

So, where do you put your trems in the chain?

but pre dirt isnt bad either. pre delay is cool too.

I have it in between my dirt pedals. It's a more pronounced effect when post, and a subtler/more 'blended' effect when pre.

It depends for me. Pre-dirt can sound really good. Especially if your trem can get that ring mod-ist type thing going. Put that into dirt and it sounds sooooo good too me. Otherwise I prefer it after delay because the results are more expected than pre-delay.

Everything that affects the volume of your signal (tremolo, compression, volume pedal, volume knob) will sound different pre- or post-dirt. Like your volume knob, placing it before your dirt pedals will reduce your gain (and volume), after dirt it will reduce your volume.

FX loop is ideal, but if you don't have one then I recommend putting it last in your chain before the amp.

After Dirt. I run two delays so I run one delay then the tremolo then another delay.

This is also my answer. After reverb, before delay.

 

I play pretty conventional stuff most of the time, so that's where I feel it works best. If I'm doing something weird, then it's all out the window but I still almost always keep it after dirt.

Just before reverb for me. Find it not profound enough before dirt.
