Members theboywho
That sounds more like downbeat electronica and trip hop type stuff than surf. The Massive Attack, early Unkle & Dj Shadow, RJD2, stuff like that.

Members thunderpuppy
the great surf stuff continues to be worth investigating. Dick Dale is fantastic (though Miserlou is a traditional piece, played by many people over the last hundred years or so), and my favorite are The Ventures, just because I really dig Nokie Edwards' phrasing. No one really "covers" Miserlou any more than they cover The Chicken Dance at every wedding you ever went to... Dick Dale put his signature on it a couple decades back. It's pretty silly to hail a band for playing a rendition of a rendition of traditional piece, though my band's version of Baa Baa Black Sheep will blow your mind
